Veronica Timasheva

I am an artist, designer and illustrator who lives in Kandy, Sri Lanka, the world centre of Buddhism. My artworks are inspired by Sri Lankan nature and culture, as well as myths and fantasy stories. I am also a certified Master Yoga Teacher.

In 2016, the year I moved to Sri Lanka, I graduated from an art school that continues and develops the traditions of two famous Russian/Soviet artists – Kazimir Malevich (1879-1935) and his student Vladimir Sterligov (1904-1973). As a follower of this tradition, I have developed my own polymer clay painting technique as well as my individual style of acrylic painting.
